Use an area rug to create a cozy, layered look, and consider pairing it with throw pillows in a similar color. Remember not to cover your entire floor with the rug, as you want its natural beauty to shine under the light.

Paired With Neutrals

You can also add color by pairing your light wood floors with neutral shades. One example is your bedroom, and a neutral palette is great if you don’t want to use vibrant colors. Start with a white curtain and matching walls. Use black furniture such as your nightstand to add a darker shade, and finish it off with white and dark gray bedding.

There is no rule that says you have to use tiled flooring in your bathroom. But then again, you can always go with tiles that look like natural wood flooring, and you don’t have to worry about slipping or water damage. You can even use wood, or a material that resembles wood, on the outside of your bathtub. Pair the natural wood tone floor with beige walls, white cabinets and white fixtures.
